Moonstruck Story

The First book of Mages tells of the importance placed by many sorcerers on astronomical signs. Indeed, so closely do some wizards relate these symbols to their craft that they have representations of them woven into the fabric of their long robes. Crescent moon, full moon, the sun and stars, their unmistakable profiles have always held great potency for those who gaze skywards.

The crescent is but one phase in the Moon’s endless cycle and has always figured largely amongst the mystical influences of the enchanted world. The ancients based their calendars on the constant and reliable phases of the Moon. They knew that just as the Moon was one with the land and the tides of the seas, so was she also one with the tides of life.
